Orthogonal Cube & My e-Comm Experience

Animation (1st Quarter)

I started out eComm with a quarter of Animation, and I have to say I enjoyed it. There were some times when the pace was very slow and other times when the pace was ridiculously fast. I think overall, however, the pros outweighed the cons, because the projects that we did were very engaging and exciting. For example, I had a great time designing my Keynote animation, and designing our own dream house was a blast.

Video (2nd Quarter)

I'll start by saying I really, really, really enjoyed video. Like Animation, the projects we did allowed us to be creative, but Video took creativity to the next level. I had a great time designing storyboards and planning out the different videos that we designed. I thought Video was more structured, however, than Animation. For example, the first projects we did were just worked on our own. Then, we did videos with a partner, and then with groups. This allowed us to understand how your role and your responsibilities in the production of the video change with the number of people you're working with.

Web Design (end of 2nd Quarter)

I am not cut out for Web Design. It's difficult, long, tiring, and dull. It takes ten steps to complete one action. It takes hours to create a simple web site. Web Design is definitely not something I'd want to continue.

Graphic Design (3rd Quarter)

Well, I haven't completed Graphic Design yet, but so far, I've really enjoyed it. The stuff (sorry for lack of a better word) we learn really intertwines with the projects. The different projects also fit in with each other. I've had a lot of fun creating my own color wheel, learning about my own font type and how it fit with my personality, designing my own personal logo and everything else we've done thus far. I'm excited to see what else we'll do later this quarter!

Overall, I have enjoyed my experience so far in eComm. I am excited to continue on and see what else I am able to learn and create!
